Art of Mind Control

Every minute it changes its colour and shape like a chameleon. It is wavering and very unsteady. Yet all that humanity has achieved is due to it: the human mind. The natural tendency of one’s mind is to be driven by uncontrolled desires, thus acting as the origin of all external dangers

The Upanishads say that for one who has conquered the mind, the mind is the best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, his mind will remain the greatest enemy. Arjuna characterized the mind to be restless, turbulent, obstinate and very strong, and thought subduing it would be more difficult than controlling the wind.

Be trained in making this powerful phenomenon as a friend to achieve inconceivable feats. Take charge of this subtle weapon at one’s disposal waiting to be unleashed. Discover never-before-heard-of strategies and never-before-used applications.

Focus

Not many know the number one reason that stops people from getting what one wants: focus. Focus is the cognitive process of selectively concentrating on one aspect of the environment while ignoring other things. It is one of the most intensely studied topics within psychology and cognitive neuroscience.Sages of the bygone ages exhibited this aspect by effectively withdrawing from some things in order to deal effectively with others. They never exhibited symptoms of being unfocussed: confused, dazed, scatterbrained.

Whatever is it that you want in the years ahead; the power of focus can help you achieve them. This module will show you how, equipping you with the same techniques that helped our wise sages.

Happiness – The Vedic Way

Human society has employed innumerable means in the pursuit of happiness: from health to honour, movies to money, drugs to dhyana and wine to wedding. As a state and a subject, it has been pursued and commented on extensively throughout world history. This reflects the universal importance that humans place on happiness.

The Vedanta-sutras reiterate this thought and state that it is not just the humans; in fact all living entities are hankering after pleasure in one form or the other. They also state that there is a reservoir or storehouse of all pleasures

Though the modern world usually relates happiness with financial success, the real tactic lies in learning the art of effectively connecting oneself to this inexhaustible source of all happiness and experience bliss whenever one chooses.

Managing Emotions

World-over suicide is the number one cause of death for 18 to 24 year-old males. Statistical data highlight that 30% of the global workforce suffer mental health problems leading to suicidal tendencies. The single primary cause of negative behavioral patterns such as anger, fear, boredom, conflict, sadness, desire, shame, guilt, etc., in the modern-day corporate professional is the lack of knowledge regarding managing one’s emotions efficiently.

Uddhava, one of the greatest saints, was instructed that in a dangerous situation an ordinary person cries, becomes fearful and laments, although such emotions do not change the situation

One cannot give up emotions totally and become void. One can find in the Vedic texts the secret of channelising one’s emotions even under pressure: learning to be self-disciplined. Attend this module and some of the most effective techniques practiced over thousands of years for culturing self-discipline and managing emotions can be yours.

Self Awareness

Research says that the cause of a feeling of things not working in one’s life, not knowing how to change and grow is due to a lack of self-awareness. The ancient Chinese Taoist philosopher Lao Tzu put it appropriately, “Knowing others is wisdom; knowing yourself is enlightenment.”

Ancient Vedic civilization assigned primary importance to this aspect in human life, and built homes and societies alike revolving around this central concept. No other life-form can seek self-awareness. Studies say that elephants can recognize themselves in a mirror, joining only apes, dolphins and humans that possess this highest form of self-awareness exhibited by any non-human life-form.

Get equipped with the right techniques to become fully aware of oneself, understand the aim of human life and achieve real success.

Stress Management

Research says that the cause of a feeling of things not working in one’s life, not knowing how to change and grow is due to a lack of self-awareness. The ancient Chinese Taoist philosopher Lao Tzu put it appropriately, “Knowing others is wisdom; knowing yourself is enlightenment.”

Of course, Arjuna did overcome his stress and it took a revelation of the knowledge and doctrines of the highest order. The good news is, these principles are as effective today as they were then. Learn these proven and powerful techniques to de-stress your life.

Time Management

Statistics reveal that 20% of the average workday is spent on “crucial” and “important” things while 80% is spent on things that have “little” or “no” value. Many claim their days are never wasted. If one truly feels that way, he/she is in the minority.

The fourth century BC thinker and politician Chanakya Pandita said that even a slight fraction of time cannot be purchased with millions of dollars, and therefore even a moment of time lost without profit must be calculated as the greatest loss in life.

Effective solutions to the perennial problem of ineffective time management cannot be based on the quick-fix strategies presented in a self-development book but through the understanding that time cannot be managed, time is uncontrollable; we can only mange ourselves and our use of time.
